Site description:
Land of Legends
Step out of everyday life and travel to the distant past.
Experience the mix of idyllic village life and harsh living conditions with all your senses.
The road to the Iron Age village of Lethra winds between soft hills, and on both sides of the path are the village sheep munching on the wild
grass.
Open the creaky gate and walk inside the village fence, where the thatched houses huddle together.
Move on the the King’s Hall, the Vikings of Lejre Land of Legends will greet you in a courteous manner and let you take a look at life in and around the hall as it might have looked more than 1000 years ago.
Meet the blacksmith by the fireplace, peek into tents and chests or smell the stew simmering over the fire – if you’re lucky you might be
offered a taste.
The campsite is used for teaching on weekdays and you are welcome to visit the children working on the site. They will be happy to tell you about their stay and activities.
Viking Ship Museum
1000 years ago, the Vikings sailed along the shores of Europe, up rivers and across the open sea throughout the North Atlantic area.
Ships are the essence of the Viking Age. With them, the Scandinavian countries were founded.
The Viking Ship Museum is built around the five original Viking ships from Skuldelev. They are part of a global story about ships, people and
things on voyages.
The museum tells the story of how the Vikings changed the World with their ships.
Without ships, no Viking Age.

guide.Your driver will be English-speaking and also guide you at the sites.
No need for cardio exercise on this day. 8000 steps are reached before the end of the day, and you will have to walk on uneven and sometimes muddy tracks.

Don't wear your Sunday clothing. This can be messy and your shoes will certainly not thank you for this tour.
