Full Day Tour, Spring (April)

Go on an interesting tour of Danish and Scandinavian history from a Danish perspective. Packed with insight into Danish history and culture.

• The full day tour also introduces you to the Roskilde Cathedral where almost all Christian Danish kings are buried. A UNESCO Heritage site dating back 1000 years.
• Even though it can be a bit cold this time of year, and stroll at the Viking Ship Museum outdoors can reveal interesting parts of Viking shipbuilding. The museum itself displays Viking shipwrecks found it the very fjord. And the museum also has a nice little gift shop to get that special thing that defines this visit.
• Having the opportunity to, on your hand, explore the magnificent Renaissance place of Frederiksborg built in the 1700 century by one of the most famous kings of that time, the king of the dual monarchy of Denmark-Norway.
• At Kronborg Castle, you will be introduced to Danish history concerning the Castle; construction, the Oresund toll, Danish-Swedish relations in the past 600 years, and the general use and history relating to the Kings who built and rebuilt the Castle.
• You will be on a guided tour of (the real Hamlet Castle), Kronborg Castle.
• A guide is also included for the Roskilde Cathedral.

Take a full-day tour out of Copenhagen in the surrounding landscape of both farmland and city.

• Our guide will take you through the history of Denmark in both fact and not without some humor and fun facts.
• First stop will be a guided tour of the Roskilde Cathedral, getting some of the history of the cathedral and seeing some of the most distinct Christian monarchs of Denmark.
• Hereafter, a bus tour through the beautiful landscape with farming, forest, and small villages on the way to the town of Hillerod.
• Arriving in the town of Hillerød. Here you will, on your own hand, experience the incredible Frederiksborg renaissance palace.
• In the town of Hillerød you can also have your lunch. Either at a local café or you might find something more to your taste.
• The last stop of the day will be the real Castle of Shakespeare's Hamlet ~ Kronborg Castle.

Pickup is provided from most hotels in the central part of Copenhagen and the cruise terminal. And it includes the fare.

ATTENTION: The tour start time is from the Central Pickup Point (in front of Hotel Astoria). Individual hotel pickup is prior to that time!

• Pickups is not possible at hotels without parking or a private accommodation and airbnb, or at a central location near City Hall Square.

• If pickup can not be provided at your accommodation, you will be offered alternatives not to fare from you.

Other worth to know information regarding the tour:

• Infotainment!, That's what we call it. Not so many facts that you lose yourself in years, Kings, and wars. And neither so humorous and fun that it becomes a comedy. But a gentle mix of facts presented in an easy-going way and a twinkle in the eyes by our excellent driver and guide.
• Your driver will be English-speaking and also guide you at both Kronborg Castle and the cathedral of Roskilde.
• You will not miss out on your daily tour of the fitness center. No need for cardio exercise on this day. 10000 steps are reached before the end of the day, and you will have to walk up spiral staircases in medieval Castles, cross cobble-covered streets, and walkways to get to the site
• And with a lot of fresh air and a taste of the Danish weather. So for clothing, do as the Danes say; "There is no bad weather, just the wrong clothing!"

• Lunch is not included. But we can assist you in finding lunch at a nice local café with both Danish and international lunch classics. Or if you prefer, a stroll on the local walking street might provide other lunch options.

• People in wheelchairs or with a walking frame should not choose this tour. Note that the driver might refuse you on the tour, should you, despite our recommendation, choose this tour. • Cane users are welcome.
• Please be aware that wet cobblestones are extremely slippery; this is especially important for users of walking aids.
• Entering the replicated Viking ship, walking on the pier, or in the shipyard is at its own risk for injury or loss, or damage to clothing and personal items.
• Please be aware that tours with fewer than 6 travelers are most likely to be canceled. (of course, it's 100% money back in case of cancellation). Alternative dates will often be offered.
