Full Day Tour, Spring (April)

Go on an interesting tour of Danish and Scandinavian history from a Danish perspective. Packed with insight into Danish history and culture.

• The full day tour also introduces you to the cathedral where almost all Christian Danish kings are buried. A UNESCO Heritage site dating
  1000 years back.
• Having the opportunity to, on you own hand see the magnificent renaissance place of Frederiksborg build in the 1700 century by one of most famous kings of the at that time, dual monarchy of Denmark-Norway
  
• You will be on a guide tour of the real Hamlet Castle.

• Our guide will take you through the history of Denmark in both fact and not without a some humor and fun-facts.
• First stop will a guided tour of the Roskilde Cathedral getting some history of the cathedral and seeing some of the most distinct
  Christian monarch of Denmark.
• Next stop also in the town of Roskilde is the Viking Ship Museum. This time of year it is a shorter stop as the outdoor exhibitions is more or less close. And the weather is normally not for a outdoor of the museum.
  
• Hereafter a bus tour through the beautiful landscape with farming, forest and small villages.
• Arriving in the town of Hillerød. Here you will on you own hand experience the incredible Frederiksborg renaissance palace.
• In the town of Hillerød you can also have your lunch. Either at local café or a maybe a sandwich from the local bakery. Which you can enjoy while looking a cross the lake surrounding the Frederiksborg Palace.
• The last stop of the day will be the real Castle of Shakespeare's Hamlet.
• Here at Kronborg you will be introduced to Danish history concerning the Castle all the way back to the Kalmar Union to end of the dual monarchy of Denmark-Norway, back before the mid of the 1900 century.

Pickup is provided from most hotels in the central part of Copenhagen and the cruise terminal. And is included the fare.

ATTENTION  The tour start time is from the Central Pickup Point (in front of Hotel Astoria). Individual hotel pickup is prior to that time!

• Pickups is not possible at hotels without parking or a private accommodation. Or at a central location near city hall square.

• If pickup can not be provided at your accommodation, you will be offered alternatives not to fare from you.

• The seat booking is free! BUT you must include: Your name, date of tour and seat number; according to seat plan in the gallery.

• Seat will be distribute as "First come, first served"!
  

• Info-tainment!, that's what we call it. Not so many facts that you loose yourself in years, Kings, and wars. And neither so humor and fun that it becomes a comedy. But a gentle mix of fact presented in an easy-going way and a twinkle in the eyes, by our excellent driver and guide.
  

• Your driver will be English speaking and also guide you at both Kronborg Castle and the cathedral of Roskilde.

• You will not miss out on your daily tour to the fitness center. No need for cardio exercise on this day. 10000 steps is reach before the end of the day, and you will have walk up spiral staircases in medieval Castles crossed cobble stone covered streets and walk ways to get to the site

• And with a lot of fresh air and a taste of the Danish weather. So for clothing, do like the Danes says; There is no bad weather, just the wrong clothing!

• Lunch is not included. But we can assist you to find lunch at a nice local café with both Danish and international lunch classics. Or if you prefer, our guide will direct you to the local Danish style bakery which can offer both sandwich and of course Danish pastry.

• BE AWARE, People in wheelchair or using walking frame or walkers should not choose this tour. Cane users, please be aware that wet cobble stones are extremely slippery.
  
• Please note, that the driver might refuse you on the tour, should you, despite our recommendation choose this tour. In this case no refund will be granted.
