Go on an interesting tour of Danish and Scandinavian history from a Danish perspective. Packed with insight into Danish history and culture.

  • You will be on a guide tour of the Roskilde Cathedral both inside and when weather permits a walk around outside.

  • The next stop is at the Viking Ship Museum at the bay of Roskilde. The guide will make a short intro and then you have time to explore the museum on you own.
  • In Hillerod, you will have the opportunity to, on you own hand see the magnificent renaissance place of Frederiksborg build in the 1700 century by one of most famous kings of the at that time, dual monarchy of Denmark-Norway.

  • The tour focus on travelers who wants to spend more time at the locations and those who are slow walkers but still can climb stairs and walk on cobble stones and other uneven surfaces.



Take a full day tour out of Copenhagen to spend time at historical interesting sites.

    • Our guide will take you through the history of location visited in both fact and not without a some humor and fun-facts.

    • The tour guide will take you to visit the Roskilde Cathedral, the final resting place for almost all Danish Christian Kings.

    • We spend around 1½hour at the Roskilde Cathedral giving you time explore yourself and making time for the slow walker to keep up during the guided tour.

    • At Roskilde Cathedral the guide will introduce you to some of the histories surrounding selected Danish Kings and their rule of the monarchy of both Denmark and the dual monarchy Denmark-Norway.

    • At the Viking Ship Museum our guide will introduce you to the museum and lead you up to the museum itself. Hereafter you there is time to explore the site and displays in the very vibrant museum. We have around 1½ hour at the museum.
    • On the way to Hillerod, where we the Frederiksborg Palace. We drive through the rural side of the island of Zealand.

    • Arriving in the town of Hillerod. You will have time to (3 hours), on you own hand and at your own pace, experience the incredible renaissance Frederiksborg Palace.

    • In the town of Hillerod you can also have your lunch (you will have around 3 hours in Hillerod from the bus arrives till departure.

    • Lunch is not included. But we can assist you to find lunch at a nice local café with both Danish and international lunch
      classics. Or if you prefer, a stroll of the local walking street might provide other lunch options.



Pickup information:


  • Pickup is provided from most hotels in the central part of Copenhagen and the cruise terminal. And is included in the fare.

  • Pickups are impossible at hotels without parking for the bus private accommodation and Airbnb. Or locations around city hall square.

  • If pickup can not be provided at your accommodation, you will be offered alternatives not to fare from you.

  • Please note pickup begins up to 45 minutes before the announced tour starts

Other worth to know information regarding the tour:

  • Infotainment!, that's what we call it. Not so many facts that you lose yourself in years, Kings, and wars. And neither so much humor and fun that it becomes a comedy. But a gentle mix of facts presented in an easy-going way and a twinkle in the eyes, by our excellent driver and
    guide.
  • Your driver will be English speaking and also guide you at both Kronborg Castle and the cathedral of Roskilde.

  • You will not miss out on your daily tour of the fitness center. No need for cardio exercise on this day. 10000 steps are reached before the end of the day, and you will have to walk up spiral staircases in medieval Castles crossed cobble-covered streets, and walkways to get to the site

  • And with a lot of fresh air and a taste of the Danish weather. So for clothing, do as the Danes say; "There is no bad weather, just the wrong clothing!"

BE AWARE

  • People in wheelchairs or using walking frames should not choose this tour. Cane users, please be aware that wet cobblestones are extremely slippery.
  • Entering the Viking Ships or walking on the piers at the Viking Ship Museum is at your own risk. As the surfaces might be slippery and tare
    and other materials the pier and ships are made of my rub on your clothing.
  • Please note, that the driver might refuse you on the tour, should you, despite our recommendation choose this tour. In this case, no refund will be granted.
